Janette McMorrow began her career as an apprentice hairdresser at a local salon in Lancashire.

On completion of her training, Janette honed her skills by working in salons in Hong Kong and the Far East. She returned to the UK and worked as an instructor at the prestigious Alan International Hairdressing Academy based in Great Portland Street, London W1.

This inspirational institution was led by Artist Director John Rawson and under the tutorage of Andreas Kareklas, Janette was taught the technical cutting and styling skills that have been the basis of her success.

Moving on, Janette took a coveted position at the world famous Trevor Sorbie Salon in Covent Garden, Here she worked alongside the very best in hairdressing including; Aveda's global artistic director Antoinette Beenders, world renowned session stylist Eugene Souleiman and of course the legendary Trevor Sorbie.

Twice nominated for the 'hairdressing oscars', the British Hairdressing Awards, and a finalist in the esteemed Wella Master Trophy, Janette quickly gained a reputation as one of London's leading makeover stylists, creating easy to wear commercial looks, high on style, low on maintenance.

This down to earth practical approach became ever more evident when she was commissioned by Best Magazine to write her own weekly beauty column aptly named "Dear Janette".

Her skills as an all round versatile artist became sought after and for over ten years Janette worked closely with the beauty team at Prima magazine interpreting seasonal looks and every month offering readers the chance to experience her signature top to toe makeover.

Janette's work has regularly been seen in many publications including; Hello, Best, MarieClaire, Prima and Now. Celebrity clients have included Danni Minogue, Joanna Lumley and Davina McCall. You can read Janette's full CV here.
